Welcome to My Website

My name is Lisa and this is a bit of what goes on in my mind sometimes.   I am bipolar so sometimes my thoughts will be dark and then sometimes my thoughts will be happy.   That's what I mean when I say 'Ride the Rolleroaster'.   I enjoy writing down what I am thinking.

I had an unusual childhood.  My dad was a preacher when I was born in 1971.   He preached at 4 different churches until the year 1978, when he became a Missionary to Mexico.   We lived one year in Queretaro while my parents attended language school.   After that, we moved to a remote village named Tlapa.  We lived there 2 years.   Then we moved to Acapulco and daddy started a church there.  I was home schooled from the 3rd grade until the 10th grade.   We had to move back to the States when I started 11th grade, due to daddy's skin cancer.   So, the 11th and 12th grade, I attended Martins Mill ISD.   The adjustment from homeschooling to public school was difficult but I made a few good friends that I still am friends with now.

I am the mother of 3 kids.  There is Dustin, my oldest son........Dakota, my middle son......and Angela, my youngest and my only girl.   The boy's are from my first marriage.  In 1989 I married Don Burleson and he left when I was 6 months pregnant with Dakota.    Then in 1999 I married Lee Cole who is the father of Angela.   Both marriages failed but I have done the best I can.  I was diagnosed bipolar in 2006.   I had a couple of bad years around that time but once I was diagnosed and treated with the proper medications, things leveled out for me a bit.   I still can get really depressed but I also can have some really good moments.

Feel free to read what I write and to comment.  I ask that there are no mean comments.   There is a difference between being honest/truthful and just being cruel/mean.
